Fire breath (or breath of fire in kundalini).

Fire breath, also known as ‘Breath of Fire’ in Kundalini, is a breathing technique used in yoga and meditation. This class is inspired by the Kundalini style of yoga. Although I am not a Kundalini teacher, I have received training in breathing techniques. I believe that the sequence offered in the video can have many benefits for practitioners of all styles of yoga.

This breathing technique is a series of quick and powerful inhalations and exhalations performed from the navel in a pulsing motion The primary goal of practising breath of fire yoga is to release toxins and chemicals from the cells in your body, help to Increase oxygen delivery to the brain, induces a focused, and neutral state of mind. It also calms the nervous system and boosts the immune system. It is said to strengthen the magnetic field of the body (aura), cleanse the chakras, improve the divine flow of energy through the body and so much more.

Practise this for 5 -10 minutes every morning. Please note that this style of breathing can initially be quite uncomfortable for the body and may produce feelings of dizziness, hyperventilation, tingling sensations in the extremities and feeling of being faint. This should subside with regular practice. However, you are responsible for how you are feeling and the health of your body. Therefore, you will need to make the decision if you feel you would like to try or avoid this breathing technique. You must take responsibility for your own safety as to how, where and if you are going to participate.
