This short video will help strengthen hips and core, Hip flexors are are a group of muscles (Iliacus, psoas major, rectus femoris, located on the front top part of your thigh in the pelvic area. They control and give you the ability to can flex your hips and bend your knees to your hips. They are important to keep the posterior pelvic muscles in balance. When somewhat in active from injury or maybe from sitting all day on a regular basis the pelvis will try to find stability when actual movement in needed. This automatic responsive rebalance of the body can develop hyperlordosis (an exaggerated lumber curve), and can also cause the glutes to become more active. Regular strengthening and stretching of the hip flexors will encourage good posture and rebalance the work of all the muscles which aid in hip stability spinal movement
