Located below the navel, where the perineum is, The Sacral Chakra is the second energy centre in the body. It governs energetic and personality traits such as creativity, sexual pleasure, and sensuality.
It also is said to be the place for maintaining the water element in the body, which would make sense as it is associated with the bladder (as well as the reproductive organs). It can often be affected by maternal wounds: Abandonment by a parent, child birthing difficulties, and lack of paternal love as a child.
