Warrior One (Virabhadrasana II) – One of the more common yoga poses and one of the most challenging. As a foundational pose, getting the alignment right can be tricky due to the combination of both the standing and balancing action of the body

This pose is great for the upper back as it opens the chest and shoulders whilst encouraging the activation of the core. Stretching the hip flexors and calves helps us to find better ‘rooting’ to the earth below.

The pose encourages us to face our fears head-on, knowing we have all we need to handle any situation.
